A DNS Resolver is a part of the server that searches the local cache for the server name. Should it be unable to detect the name there, it will keep searching by reaching out to DNS servers<\/strong><\/a> until it locates the IP address you were attempting to find. It is the most important component in any procedure that resolves domain names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When setting the server, the resolver’s IP address must be entered by the user. You may accomplish this using the WHM interface by putting the resolver’s IP address in the \/etc\/resolv.conf file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Configure the DNS Resolver via WHM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Log in to the WHM panel with your root account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Select the Networking Setup<\/strong> option from the navigation menu.<\/p>\n\n\n

3. Click on Resolver Configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Click on the Proceed<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n

5. Enter the addresses of two nameservers to set as the primary and secondary resolvers, and click the Continue <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n

Note<\/strong>: Although it is optional, you can also add a third nameserver by entering its IP address in the Tertiary Resolver<\/strong> field. It will act as the third resolver for your server.<\/p>\n\n\n

The system will commence the configuration process and set up the resolvers in the primary and secondary order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
