In that case, you will have to perform the steps in this article to make your domain work properly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: The paid Business or Enterprise Cloudflare plans offer the setup for CNAME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Sign up and log in to your Cloudflare account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click on&nbsp;<strong>+ Add site<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_addsite_censored.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12008\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;Enter the domain name for which you want to enable Cloudflare under the&nbsp;<strong>Enter your site<\/strong>&nbsp;field and click the&nbsp;<strong>Add site<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_domain_addsite.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11863\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Cloudflare will redirect you to a page to choose a CDN plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Scroll down and tap on the&nbsp;<strong>Free<\/strong>&nbsp;plan and click the&nbsp;<strong>Continue<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_free_cont.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11864\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>If you want, you may choose one of Cloudflare\u2019s paid plans later to access more features. Here is a link where you can compare the features and prices of the plans-&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudflare.com\/plans\/#overview.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.cloudflare.com\/plans<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cloudflare will start looking through the domain&#8217;s DNS records. It will show you the list of your current host records for the domain in a little bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Warning<\/strong>: Before proceeding further, make&nbsp;sure to double-check if the list of DNS records matches your cPanel records. If you find anything missing or out of place, contact your provider immediately. Additionally, we do not recommend modifying DNS records here. You can&nbsp;do that after you&nbsp;complete the setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Click the Continue button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_dns_cont.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11865\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>6. If you have just set up your domain and have no DNS records, a popup window will appear asking you to set up DNS records. Click the<strong>&nbsp;Confirm<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_dns_list.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11867\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Change the Nameservers to the Ones for Cloudflare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You will have to log in to your domain registrar\u2019s&nbsp;administrator account to&nbsp;change the nameservers for the domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are registered with Hostvento then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Browse the Hostvento website in a new tab and click the&nbsp;<strong>LOG IN<\/strong>&nbsp;button to the top-right corner of your screen.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/hostvento_login.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11876\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>2. Enter your login details and click the&nbsp;<strong>SIGN IN TO MY ACCOUNT<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/clientarea_signin.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11877\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>3. Once you signed in to the Clientarea, click on the&nbsp;<strong>Registered Domains<\/strong>&nbsp;option.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_reg_dom.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11878\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>4. Click the&nbsp;<strong>Manage Domain<\/strong>&nbsp;icon for the domain name that you have to point to Cloudflare DNS.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_man_dom.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11879\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>5. Choose the&nbsp;<strong>Use custom nameservers<\/strong>&nbsp;option and enter the nameservers in the fields as shown below. Once you are done, click the&nbsp;<strong>CHANGE NAMESERVERS<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_enter_ns.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11880\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>6. Reload the website and reopen the Cloudflare account tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Scroll down and the nameservers you specified in the Clientarea will show up under the&nbsp;<strong>Replace with Cloudflare\u2019s nameservers<\/strong>&nbsp;section.&nbsp;Click the&nbsp;<strong>Check nameservers<\/strong>&nbsp;button below.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_check_ns.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11882\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: It tasks about&nbsp;24-48 hours (or more) for local ISPs to update their DNS caches after setting up the nameservers. It means you will see the changes after a few hours when the DNS changes are completely active. The caching time also varies for different ISPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Cloudflare will flash a success message.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_ns_success_censored.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11884\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>This time, you will see the domain marked as&nbsp;<strong>Active<\/strong>&nbsp;on the&nbsp;<strong>Home<\/strong>&nbsp;screen of the interface.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostvento.com\/kb\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/cf_dom_click.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11881\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Next, you will have to set up DNS records for the Cloudflare account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Set up DNS records in the DNS Menu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Click on the&nbsp;<strong>DNS<\/strong>&nbsp;option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click the&nbsp;<strong>+ Add Record<\/strong>&nbsp;button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Choose the record type in the&nbsp;<strong>Type<\/strong>&nbsp;field and enter the name and IP address for the DNS record in the respective fields<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The system will automatically set up the TTL. Click on&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
