Not able to Park OR add a Addon domain
When Parking OR adding a Addon domain from cPanel, you receive message as below.
Using the following IP addresses for nameservers: I apologize, but it appears that the domain is already addressed to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers connected to this server. Kindly have your administrator add one of the domain’s nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the necessary A entries on that remote nameserver, or move the domain to this server’s nameservers.
This is due to the fact that adding unregistered domains or domains that lead to other IP addresses is prohibited on the server. If you have a dedicated server or a VPN, you must either make the necessary changes OR contact your web host to enable it.
Login to your WHM as root & access option Tweaks Settings. Set below 2 options to On & click Save.
- Allow Remote Domains – Allow creation of parked/addon domains that resolve to other servers (e.g. domain transfers) This can be a major security problem. If you must have it enabled, be sure not to allow users to park common Internet domains.
- Allow unregistered domains – Allow creation of parked/addon domains that are not registered.
Give it a try now. You should be able to add the domains.
