Learn How to Backup Your Database in cPanel
Backing up your website’s database is one of the most important activities that you should carry out periodically, as this can keep you away from headaches that can be caused because of the loss of data.
These days, the majority of applications that power websites contain a back-end database. If daily backups are not made, the entire database you have worked on will be lost in the event that something goes wrong, either inadvertently or as a result of malicious action.
If I am making larger changes on my website or upgrade to the latest version, or I just posted some great content, I go ahead and download the copy of my database backup for a better safety.
Backup database in cPanel
Step 1: Login to your cPanel.
Step 2: Click on Backup that is under the files section.
Step 3: Now under the Download a MySQL Database Backup section, click on your database name, in this case, username5_wordpress.

Step 4: On your local machine, go to the folder of your web-browser where the database backup is downloaded and you should now see the compressed .sql.gz file.
You now have a locally saved, secure copy of your database on your own PC. You may then easily restore your database from that backup in case you accidentally delete something or have a database issue.
